ResourceSmart Schools Awards

A decade of schools wins for the environment

Students from St Louis de Montfort's Primary School in Aspendale

The ResourceSmart Schools Awards are Victoria’s biggest sustainability awards for schools and celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2018. Over 1,000 entries have been submitted over the decade, inspiring campus, curriculum and community activities that help schools embed sustainability. Thank you all schools that have entered, and been part of the decade of school wins for the environment.

In 2019, Sustainability Victoria is taking the opportunity to review the Awards approach as part of the ResourceSmart Schools program wide activities. These Awards are postponed to early 2019. This year there are still opportunities for schools to be recognised and rewarded!

In 2018 schools can:

  • be energy champions by registering for the ResourceSmart Schools Energy Champions Challenge;
  • enter the Premier’s Sustainability Awards education category; and
  • complete modules and be certified for stars through the ResourceSmart Schools program.
